How We Protect Your Personal Data
In order to protect your security, we use the strongest available browser encryption and store all of our data on servers in secure facilities in Canada. All data is only accessible to our direct employees. Our employees are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and a breach of this agreement would result in the employee’s termination and legal action.

While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected, there always remains the risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times and therefore we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical.

SECURITY

Ocean Legacy has in place what we believe to be appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Credit card information provided to the Ocean Legacy for product purposes is protected against unauthorized use by 128-bit encryption and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security features, which scramble your personal information so that only your web browser and our website’s server can decipher it. We also do not keep any form of credit card information on our server, rather we use accredited third party services: PayPal and Stripe to collection donations.

OPTING OUT

Please contact us to a) correct or update any personal information in the Ocean Legacy EPIC ACADEMY (edu.oceanlegacy.ca) database that you state is erroneous, b) opt-out of future communications from Ocean Legacy or c) request Ocean Legacy to make reasonable efforts to remove your personal information from the Ocean Legacy online database. The user understands that it may be impossible to delete personal information entirely because of backups and records of deletions.
